The Truro Veterinary Hospital provides full service care for family pets. We are committed to enable the relationship between pets and their people to flourish in a healthy rewarding way. At the Family Connects Expo we will be highlighting the valuable benefits the family pet offers your growing children. A good relationship with a pet can help in developing your children’s non-verbal communication, compassion, and empathy.
Be a Tree
We will show children how to speak and read dog and cat language and how to be safe with strange dogs by learning how to ‘Be a Tree’ in a fun interactive way.
We will discuss how to prevent exposure to parasites (ticks, fleas and intestinal parasites) that affect most animals including humans and especially children even if they don’t have a pet.
Nutrition of young animals is very important. This includes pets. Learn how young animals need special attention to their nutritional needs to be healthy.
Truro Veterinary have invited three community groups to share the booth to provide you with information about their worthy causes:
ElderDog is committed to honouring and preserving the animal-human bond for ageing dogs and ageing people. They help older pet owners maintain their pets and helps find new homes for pets that can no longer be with their people.
Truro Veterinary Hospital is pleased to participate in the Family Connects Expo in Truro. Be sure to stop by their booth to speak with the vets and the community groups about how to get your family pet ready for the summer season and visit with all of the four legged friends!
